So my TV ramblings have been MIA lately, mostly because... well, I didn't have anything nice to say. And like my mum always says, if you don't have anything nice to say... wait a few weeks and then blog about it.

So, let's start with House. Cut for spoilers from the last few episodes. )

Next we have Veronica Mars (who is smarter then you, will tell you so, and will leave you wanting to SLAP HER) Cut for spoilers for the first few episodes of season three. )

Lastly, we have Torchwood. Yummy Doctor Who spin off FTW! If you're not watching, you don't want to be spoiled. )

So, what are you watching?

TV Roundup?

I haven't watched SNL since high school, but on October 28th, Hugh Laurie will be hosting (Beck will be the musical guest), so I will be tuning in.

Veronica Mars premiered last night, and if you missed the episode, it's still on Go, watch, now. My thoughts on the episode are under this here lj cut. *SPOILERS* )

Kidnapped (NBC Wendsday), is on tonight. You can catch last weeks episode at I recommend it to people who enjoy House. It doesn't quiet have the same comic edge to it, but after watching an episode, you'll see why I put them in the same category. Jeremy Sisto manages to be not-totally-creepy for a change, and he's looking hot in a weird 'plz take a shower' sort of way.

The plot runs in a year long arch, a-la "24", except here we go by the day not the hour. Still it's well paced and well written. Delroy Lindo is fantastic, as always. Dana Delany, Timothy Hutton, and Carmen Ejogo, make up the rest of the main players. Great actors, well timed action and drama... It's good. Give it a shot.

Studio 60, had me at 'Hello', but I'm losing interest as our relationship goes on. I'm tempted to see other people, but there isn't much else in it's time slot. Please to not be breaking my heart. Give me something good Studio 60. D: (Studio 60 is also streaming at

EDIT: Now with 90% less typos. >_> OH yeah! Muh typin' is gud, no?

So, I watched "Justice" (Fox's new lawyer show) last night. I won't lie, I only left it on because I spotted the ever-awesome Amanda Seyfried, and because they kept flaunting the review “…it does for lawyers what ‘House’ did for doctors!” -- In Touch magazine

Man was I let down. Clearly the writer at In Touch has never watched an episode of House in their life.

Other then Amanda Seyfried, who was the Client of The Week, the acting was atrocious. I can deal with everyone scowling, it's a drama, so, whatever, but apparently that was the extent of the casts acting abilities. Victor Garber managed to pull off an okay performance, despite a poorly written script and stiff acting to work off. Kerr Smith is the least convincing lawyer I have ever seen on TV, his sappy angst moments only made tolerable by the way it looked like he was checking out Amanda Seyfried (who was looking hot). I dunno if he thought that would be a good call for his character or what...

Rebecca Mader is hard to look at. I'm sorry, I know that's an awful thing to say, but it's true. Maybe if they'd let her smile a little now and then, it wouldn't be so hard... I dunno. While I found her convincing at times, I also found her performance mostly stiff. I felt no interest in her or any of the other characters. Eamonn Walker wasn't so bad, though it was hard to tell as he barely had any lines, and again, the scowling. I know, someone died, you're lawyers... but your faces will stick like that! You can look serious without scowling.

All and all, I doubt I'll be watching again.

Speaking of House, I forgot to write a review of this weeks season premire. However, as I'm so late and I'm sure you've all read a million already, I'll just say this: AWESOME. Always awesome. If you aren't watching this show, you are missing out. Dude, he set fire to someone's foot! Amazing cast, amazing writing... best thing on TV at the moment (yes, even better then Veronica Mars... though I hate to admit it.)
